Kazakhstan and Qatar eye promising projects in agro-industrial sector

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov received Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the country Abdulaziz bin Sultan Al Rumaihi, Kazinform News Agency reports.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Smailov emphasized that Qatar is an important political and economic partner of Kazakhstan in the Arab world.

“We are interested in expanding the opportunities that we have,” said the Kazakh Prime Minister, expressing his delight regarding a number of promising projects in the agro-industrial complex that Kazakhstan and Qatar can implement together.

For instance, Kazakhstan and Qatar can jointly construct a grain processing plant in Akmola region worth $200 million. The sides are negotiating the concept and terms of partnership.

Alikhan Smailov went on to note that Kazakhstan has everything in place to develop business and stands ready to render necessary assistance.

H.E. Abdulaziz bin Sultan Al Rumaihi, in turn, expressed gratitude for warm reception and support on the part of the Kazakh Government and leadership.
