Jeddah Book Fair 2025 hosts special workshops

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. The Jeddah Book Fair is maintaining its momentum with a diverse lineup of special workshops that highlight intellectual content and thoughtful cultural perspectives, TurkicWorld reports via Arab News.

These sessions form part of a broader program organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission.

A standout workshop titled “The Global Value of Arabian Peninsula Heritage: Understanding Our Shared Human Legacy” examined the region’s archaeological treasures as integral to worldwide human history.

Participants explored the developmental journey of Arabian societies, from the establishment of early settlements and the transformation of lifestyles — shifting from hunting and gathering to agricultural practices and livestock domestication.

The session highlighted tangible evidence of this evolution, including pottery, metalwork, rock engravings and sculptural works, all serving as markers of advancing human intellect and adaptation to the environment.

Discussion also centered on the Arabian Peninsula’s pivotal geographical location, which has historically positioned it as a cultural hub where diverse civilizations converged, trade flourished, and populations migrated.
