Azerbaijan to shortly make COP29 Green Zone tickets accessible

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. The tickets to the "Green Zone" of the COP29 will be available as of November 9, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Anar Alakbarov told reporters during a media tour, TurkicWorld reports.

According to him, the tickets will be free of charge.

"The number of tickets for specific dates will be limited," he added.

Alakbarov noted that tickets will be available on iTicket.az website.

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which manages the Blue Zone of COP29 and serves as the center of official negotiations, will also feature a Green Zone. The COP29 Chair organizes and manages this zone, emphasizing community participation, technological solutions, and global cooperation.

The Green Zone serves as a venue for diverse climate stakeholders, encompassing a wide array of participants such as representatives from public and business sectors, media, academics, experts, local communities, civil society organizations, and Blue Zone officials.

The Green Zone program encompasses multiple projects and dialogues focused on sustainability and climate action, emphasizing increased involvement of youth, women, and indigenous groups in promoting climate change solutions. Furthermore, Green Zone fosters enhanced collaboration among non-governmental groups, as well as between corporations and higher education institutions, in pursuit of sustainable development.
