BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) are united by successful economic cooperation, the political analyst of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Bakitaev told TurkicWorld .
"As we can see, cooperation among Turkic and Turkic-speaking countries has significantly strengthened over the past few years—this is the demand of the times. We have been connected for millennia by a common language, spiritual values, and philosophy. Recently, our leaders have begun meeting more frequently, and these meetings have become an annual occurrence. Against this backdrop, the Organization of Turkic States was formed.
I believe this is a wise decision because the OTS countries are strategically located between China and Europe, and without their involvement, large-scale projects like the 'Belt and Road Initiative' would lose their significance.
Therefore, in order to effectively safeguard their interests in the face of major powers, the Turkic states have united within this international organization. I am confident that now the interests of our countries will no longer be overshadowed by those of larger nations," the expert added.
This prudent policy addresses the challenges dictated by the current global landscape, Bakitaev pointed out.
"We are united not only by our historical ties but also by successful economic, political, cultural, and spiritual cooperation. I am confident that we can show the world an example of how countries should interact within international institutions. I believe this will become one of the most cohesive and successful international unions," the analyst concluded.
