BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. Azerbaijan continues to be a reliable partner for China, Ding Tao, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan, said during a conference on the promotion of logistics and trade in Azerbaijan, SCO demonstration area, TurkicWorld reports.
"China and Azerbaijan are genuine friends and strong partners, cooperating on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Over the past 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our two countries have enjoyed healthy and stable development despite changes in the international arena," he said.
Tao recalled that the recently concluded Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Astana provided a platform for a successful meeting between the heads of state of China and Azerbaijan, where they jointly announced the establishment of a strategic partnership.
"The joint statement issued reflects both sides' firm support for their core interests, recognition of each other's policies and concepts, and pursuit of high-quality pragmatic cooperation. Raising the level of relations in Central Asia has been an important step in the history of our bilateral relations, bringing more stability and positive energy to maintaining peace and development in the world," he added.
