BAKU. Azerbaijan. October 9. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has condemned attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the European Union’s partners in the Gulf.
Von der Leyen stressed that attacks targeting civilian infrastructure were “completely unacceptable”.
She also called on the Houthis, who are aligned with Iran, to stop what she described as their “reckless and violent actions”.
Her statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including its capital.
