BAKU. Azerbaijan. October 9. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has advised airlines to avoid additional areas of Saudi Arabian airspace following a Houthi attack on Riyadh airport.
In an updated conflict zone information bulletin on Saudi airspace, originally issued on September 30, the agency said recent attacks had demonstrated the Houthis’ ability and intent to strike targets deeper inside Saudi territory, including the capital.
The revised advisory expands the areas in which airlines are recommended not to operate, reflecting concerns over the potential risks to civil aviation amid escalating regional tensions.
