Kuwait condemns Iranian attack on Saudi tanker

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. Kuwait has strongly condemned an Iranian attack on a tanker belonging to Saudi Arabia, describing the incident as a “heinous” act and a violation of international law.

In a statement, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack represented a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation as well as to global energy supplies.

Kuwait warned of the potential consequences of attacks targeting commercial and energy-related shipping, particularly amid heightened regional tensions.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the need for an immediate halt to all “escalatory actions” that could further destabilise the region.

Kuwait’s statement reflects growing concern over maritime security and the protection of global energy transportation routes amid the ongoing confrontation involving Iran.
