BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia has issued a security alert urging American citizens in the country to take additional precautions amid escalating tensions and a surge in attacks between the United States and Iran.
The embassy said the security environment across the Middle East remains complex and warned of the possibility of unforeseen escalation.
“Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise heightened vigilance,” the embassy said, also advising citizens to remain prepared for potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel disruptions.
The warning comes as growing regional tensions raise concerns over the safety of US citizens and international travelers across the Middle East. Possible disruptions to air travel could also affect transportation links between countries in the region.
