Qatar PM joins Jordan's king for talks on occupied East Jerusalem

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani participated in a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Amman to discuss the situation in occupied East Jerusalem, according to Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting brought together members of the Arab Ministerial Committee, which is tasked with coordinating international efforts in response to Israeli policies and measures in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, participants reviewed the latest developments in Palestine, with particular focus on the escalation in occupied Jerusalem and efforts to preserve the city's Islamic and Christian identity.

The officials also discussed strengthening coordination among Arab countries on issues related to Jerusalem and ways to address ongoing developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
