Qatar condemns Iran’s attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Iran’s recent attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

In a statement posted on X, the ministry described the attacks as “a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries, and a blatant breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighbourliness.”

The ministry specifically highlighted attacks on electricity and water desalination facilities in Kuwait, stating that such actions cross “all red lines” and violate UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which emphasizes respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.

Qatar warned that these attacks represent a “dangerous escalation” that could complicate efforts to reduce tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at ensuring regional security and stability.
