BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17,The Israeli army reported that its forces, together with the Israeli security agency Shin Bet, have killed a Hamas commander in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza.
According to the army, Anas Mahmoud Ahmad Hamdan was killed on Thursday and was considered the “right-hand man” of senior Hamas leaders.
The army added that Hamdan was a “central figure” in the holding of captives in the Gaza Strip and in the process of returning them to Israel.
Hamas has not yet commented on the reported death of its commander.
