Israel UN humanitarian crisis gaza Casualties Gaza City

Gaza situation worsens as Israeli troops advance and disease spreads

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate amid ongoing Israeli military operations and worsening living conditions, according to the latest UN report.

Since the ceasefire came into effect in October 2025, reported casualties have reached 1,005 deaths and 3,157 injuries.

TurkicWorld reports that Israeli troops have advanced toward populated areas of Gaza City, forcing dozens of families to flee their homes as fighting intensifies.

Aid organizations also report severe fuel shortages, which are disrupting humanitarian operations. Agencies say they are being forced to prioritize fuel for life-saving services while suspending other critical but non-emergency activities.

In addition, public health conditions are worsening, with rising temperatures, overcrowded displacement sites, and a lack of safe drinking water contributing to the spread of disease. Pest and rodent infestations are also becoming a serious concern across affected areas.

The UN warns that the combination of displacement, infrastructure collapse, and limited humanitarian access is deepening the crisis for civilians across the Gaza Strip.
