BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6.The UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) has expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of Lebanese army personnel killed in Israeli strikes in the Nabatieh area.
TurkicWorld reports that UNIFIL stated that such attacks within Lebanese territory constitute gross violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Security Council Resolution 1701. The 2006 UN resolution ended the war between Israel and Hezbollah and later served as the basis for a truce in November 2024 between the two parties.
