BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Lebanon’s Defence Ministry confirmed that a UN peacekeeper killed in southern Lebanon was a Serbian national.
TurkicWorld reports that the peacekeeper, Senior Sergeant Milovan Jovanovic, died from injuries sustained in a strike on a UN base.
He received emergency medical care at the base hospital and was then transported by helicopter to the University Medical Center in Beirut, where he succumbed to his injuries.
