BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskander, accompanied by a delegation, visited SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company, during a visit to the Kingdom on Wednesday, TurkicWorld reports via Asharq Al-Awsat.
The Malaysian King was received upon arrival by SAMI chief executive officer Thamer Al-Muhid. His visit aims to expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields including in the aviation and space sectors.
The king was briefed on the company’s facilities and its advanced capabilities in the fields of maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft, and its role in localizing the aviation and space industries in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries aims to build sustainable industrial capabilities in the field of aerospace systems.
