Uzbekistan exported 2.7 tons of apricot to Kyrgyzstan this year

In January-August this year, Uzbekistan has exported 2.7 thousand tons of apricots to Kyrgyzstan, the Statistics Agency of the neighboring country said.

In total, the republic sent 64.8 tons of apricot worth USD 62.3 million to 14 countries in the corresponding period. Of these, Russia (51.5 thousand tons), Kazakhstan (8.1 thousand tons), Azerbaijan (1.5 thousand tons) and Belarus (721 tons) are among the countries with the biggest exports.

“The growth of apricot export is primarily due to the quality of the product and to the competitiveness of the price. The export marketing strategy is also being successfully implemented in promoting apricot to the foreign market,” the report said.

This year’s indicators are USD 21.6 million and 15 thousand tons more in comparison with the same period of 2023.
