The report of the republic’s National Statistics Committee said that the expenditures of Kyrgyz citizens abroad in the first half of this year amounted to USD 280.1 million, the figure increased by 6.9% compared to the same period last year.
26.8 thousand people used services of travel agencies, of which 21.5 thousand were citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic traveling to other countries and across Kyrgyzstan, and 5.3 thousand were citizens of other countries traveling in the republic.
Meanwhile, the income from the reception of foreign citizens, according to estimates, reached USD 479.7 million, and compared to the corresponding period of last year increased by 1.8%.
