Sixty-four percent of voters who voted for the New Popular Front and half of the National Unity Party voters said they supported the impeachment procedure. Seventy-four percent of both the right and the left believed that the proposal would not lead to the president's resignation.

52 percent of French people believe that the decision not to appoint the candidate of the New Popular Front, Lucie Castets, as prime minister is not a denial of democracy, while 47 percent think the opposite.

Seven weeks after the parliamentary elections, 63 percent of respondents said that the main responsibility for the fact that a new government has not yet been formed lies with President Macron and his team. 27 percent of respondents believe that the New Popular Front is to blame for this situation.

As for the next prime minister, 41 percent of French people want Prime Minister Gabriel Attal to step down and be replaced by a new term. Jordan Bardella, leader of the National Unity party, is in second place (38 percent), and former Prime Minister Bernard Cazenove is in third place (28 percent).

Recall that on August 26, President Emmanuel Macron ruled out the formation of a government with the support of the NFP after consultations with party leaders and leaders of parliamentary factions. Accusing Macron of abuse of power, the Inanimate France (La France insoumise) party is threatening to invoke Article 68 of the constitution to force him to resign.
