New school constructed in Aghstafa district with support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. In the new academic year, a number of new schools were put into operation with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, including the building of the secondary school named after A. Asimoglu in the village of Zalimkhan of the Aghstafa region, TurkicWorld reports.

The new school replaces the outdated structure of the previous school building.

The previous school building, which first opened its doors in the early 1930s with an extension added in 1988, had deteriorated over time due to extensive use. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has addressed this issue by funding the construction of a new, modern building designed to accommodate up to 220 students.

The newly constructed facility includes 12 classrooms, as well as specialized laboratories for physics and chemistry. It also features IT and military training rooms, a medical office, a vocational training area, a library, a dining hall, an assembly hall, and a sports hall. Additionally, an outdoor sports field has been provided for students’ physical education.

The three-story school is fully equipped with modern furniture and educational technology, ensuring that classrooms and laboratories are well-supported with necessary teaching materials. The surrounding grounds have been upgraded with landscaping enhancements, including the planting of decorative shrubs and trees and the installation of contemporary lighting systems.
