Iran, Burkina Faso ink memorandum of cooperation in nuclear sphere

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Iran and Burkina Faso signed a memorandum on cooperation in the nuclear sphere on September 19 in Vienna, Austria, TurkicWorld reports.

The memorandum of cooperation between the two countries was signed by Mohammad Eslami, chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Lionel Bilgo, Minister of Education of Burkina Faso.

Within the framework of this cooperation document, the two countries will cooperate in the fields of research, education, and projects to be agreed upon.

To note, Iran uses its nuclear program in agriculture, health, electricity, and other fields, and to this end, it has taken steps to discover uranium, mine uranium stone, produce yellowcake, and so on.

Iran mainly tries to lift sanctions imposed on the country by the US and Western countries, withdraw frozen funds in foreign countries, and lift restrictions on crude oil exports. Meanwhile, the US and Western countries want Iran not to acquire a nuclear bomb, to keep its nuclear program under control, and to reduce uranium enrichment.
