Uza. During the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Germany, a Mandate was signed to organize financing for constructing a new copper smelting complex with the German KfW-IPEX Bank for $2.55 billion.
According to AMMC, the construction of a new copper smelting complex is being implemented as part of the investment project “Development of the Yoshlik I deposit” by the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to expand the production of non-ferrous and precious metals based on deposits of Almalyk MMC JSC of May 26, 2020. The new metallurgical complex will allow the plant almost to double the copper, gold, and silver production.
