Uza. Tashkent hosted the opening ceremony of the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”, at the Cinematographers House.
Domestic and foreign film masters, famous actors and actresses, and representatives of the general public attended the opening ceremony of this prestigious event.
Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov read out the greeting from the Head of state to the participants of the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”.
About 300 filmmakers, actors and actresses, directors and cameramen, producers and analysts from 52 countries are participating in the film festival.
The film festival program is varied and very interesting. It includes about 200 events. These are photo exhibitions dedicated to the work of the great filmmakers of Central Asia Malika Qayumova, Nabi Ganiyev, Komil Yormatov, and Baken Gidikeyev, more than 60 masterclasses and creative meetings for the youth of the country with the participation of masters of international cinematography.
The winners of the competition of national film projects will also be awarded as part of the film festival.
