ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 27. German agricultural machinery manufacturer CLAAS aims at further mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, TurkicWorld reports via Turkmenistan's official media.
According to the information, this became known after the meeting between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Chairman of the Joint Stock Company of the company, Chairwoman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Katrina Klaas-Mühlhäuser.
In the course of the conversation, Katrina Klaas-Mühlhäuser reiterated CLAAS' aspiration to expand its business ties with Turkmenistan, noting the favorable conditions for effective cooperation in the country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the visit would serve as a basis for deepening relations and the implementation of new mutually beneficial projects.
Cooperation with Germany, as the President emphasized, covers a wide range of spheres, including industry, agriculture, and healthcare. In particular, German companies are actively involved in supplying modern equipment for medical institutions in Turkmenistan, which is a vivid example of a successful partnership.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in continuing the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation, filling it with new concrete content.
To note, CLAAS is the European leader in the production of combines and the world leader in the market of self-propelled silage harvesters. The range includes tractors, wheel loaders, and other machinery, as well as information technology systems for agriculture. CLAAS employs around 11,500 people and recorded sales of around 3.9 billion euros in 2019, with around 78.5 percent of sales coming from exports.
