NATO delegation visits Anıtkabir ahead of summit in Türkiye

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. A delegation of NATO permanent representatives and senior officials visiting Türkiye for the 36th NATO Summit has paid a visit to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The delegation was led by Luxembourg's Permanent Representative to NATO, Stephan Frederic Müller. During the visit, the delegation laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum and paid tribute to his memory with a moment of silence.

The delegation also posed for a commemorative photograph before Müller signed the Anıtkabir Memorial Book on behalf of the group.

In his message, Müller said the delegation had gathered to honour the legacy of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye and reaffirm its respect for the Turkish people. He noted that Atatürk's principle of "Peace at Home, Peace in the World" reflects the core values and spirit of the NATO Alliance. Müller also expressed the delegation's satisfaction with visiting Türkiye on the occasion of the NATO Summit in Ankara.
