The Turkish Gendarmerie Command and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) have carried out a successful joint operation against the PKK/YPG terrorist organization in northern Syria.
As a result of the operation, a member of the PKK's armed wing voluntarily surrendered to Turkish security forces.
Reportedly, the individual had joined the PKK from Türkiye and was later sent to Syria, where he operated within various units of the terrorist organization for several years.
He is said to have received specialized training in heavy weaponry and was involved in armed activities across different regions.
Security sources also revealed that the terrorist had been operating kamikaze drones to launch aerial attacks targeting Turkish Armed Forces in active operation zones in Syria.
The surrender of the PKK member is considered a significant indication of growing internal disintegration and ideological decline within the organization.
Turkish security forces have stated that such targeted operations in the region will continue.
