The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) must be recognised as soon as possible.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said this in his speech at the 20th July Peace and Freedom Day ceremony in TRNC, TurkicWorld reports.
"I commemorate with mercy and gratitude the prime minister Mr Ecevit, the deputy prime minister Mr Erbakan and the honourable Türkeş, who paved the way for the 1974 Peace Movement." - Erdoğan said.
The President noted that Türkiye will always be the guarantor of the existence, sovereignty and existence of the Turkish Cypriots.
