The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan hosted the opening ceremony of the mobile exhibition “Aralboyi Marjany” (“Pearl of the Aral Sea”), dedicated to the popularization of the rich historical-cultural heritage of the Karakalpak people.

The event was attended by representatives of scientific-academic circles of Kazakhstan, compatriots from among the activists of the Karakalpak diaspora, students, as well as employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition presents more than 150 exhibits from the State Museum of History and Culture of Karakalpakstan, including both archaeological and ethnographic collections, national costumes and jewelry, demonstrating not only the history, but also the way of life, traditional culture of the Karakalpak people.

The exhibition will run until October 6.
