Türkiye plans to start using its own natural gas in March 2023, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said, TurkicWorld reports.

According to Donmez, a 140-kilometer section of the pipeline, which will transport gas from Sakarya gas field in the Black Sea to Filyos town of Zonguldak city, is ready.

"Almost 70 percent of the pipeline is ready. Only a 20-25-kilometer section remains, the construction of which will be completed in October. The onshore work is expected to be completed in November this year," he noted.

The minister, who visited the Castorone vessel, which is being used to build a 170-kilometer pipeline from the Sakarya gas field to Filyos, added that the vessels that will lay the signal cables are currently on their way to places of implementation of their tasks.
