The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation presents a new project "TURK DISCOVERY" on the YOUTUBE platform

From time immemorial, the Turkic countries and peoples had many points of contact on the historical path, which became the reason for the emergence of similar layers of culture, customs and traditions. They have common roots, a rich heritage - epics, the greatest personalities, customs, traditions, music, literature, and most importantly, all this has found a place in the treasury of world culture, TurkicWorld reports.

The Turkic trace in Hungary, the Scythian-Saka heritage of Azerbaijan, the treasures of the "Golden Man" in Kazakhstan, the achievements of the Ottoman Empire in Türkiye, the cities of Uzbekistan with ancient culture, the epic "Manas" of Kyrgyzstan, which is the pearl of Turkic literature, and much more.

It is our duty to pass on our precious heritage to future generations. Just as people need culture for their spiritual enrichment, culture also needs to be carefully treated and protection. New generations should know it, absorb it, rely on it in their activities.

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, which mission is to research, study, and preserve the rich Turkic cultural heritage, is a young organization that was established on the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan and with the support of the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye, Hungary joined the organization as an observer country.

As the president of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova noted: "During the period of its activity, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation has implemented many different projects in the field of promoting the rich history, national and spiritual values of the Turkic peoples. The organization publishes books, holds conferences with the participation of prominent research scientists, round tables, exhibitions, and has also begun work on the restoration of cultural monuments of the Turkic world, etc.

Another project of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation is the creation of the YouTube platform "Turk Discovery", where broadcasts, programs, documentaries about the material and cultural heritage, ancient traditions, and national values of the Turkic world will be broadcast. The creation of such a large-scale project will help bring the wealth of the Turkic peoples to a global audience. This is a modern and effective approach, as we live in a dynamically developing world. I would like to emphasize that, along with the YouTube platform, the Foundation actively promotes content to popularize the material and spiritual values of the Turkic countries on online platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc. I am sure that the audience will meet "Turk Discovery" with great interest.

The well-known journalist from Kazakhstan Maya Bekbaeva acted as the head and "face" of the project at the invitation of the Foundation. Maya Bekbaeva's team has been producing documentaries on history for many years.

The first issue of the “Turk Discovery” project is the documentary "Novruz – the revival of an ancient Turkic holiday" (it can already be viewed on the official YouTube channel of the “Turk Discovery” project at the link https://youtu.be/XhtnEcaG4hA?si=JjYAfmS4WgPXeCTF). The scientific director and co-author of the film's script is a statesman and political figure of Azerbaijan, a diplomat, a scientist, a representative of the Organization of Turkic States Council of Elders Hasan Hasanov. The film team visited Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. Most of the filming took place in the Baku city and significant historical sites of Azerbaijan. The film shows the unique, distinctive features of the celebration of Nauryz (Novruz) in each Turkic country. The aim of the project is to further strengthen solidarity between the Turkic peoples.

The project team continues to work on creating interesting and high-quality content. Currently, a documentary film is being prepared about the work of Mahmud Kashgari "Diwani lugat-at-turk", which is a collection of Turkic dialects. It should be noted that in 2024-2025, UNESCO celebrates the 950-year anniversary of this collection.
