BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. The Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, has visited the pavilion of the “Fighting for International Nautical Species” (FINS) initiative at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) ). The pavilion is dedicated to the importance of protecting marine life and stepping up international effort in this direction.
According to TurkicWorld, Leyla Aliyeva participated in the screening of a “Seaspiracy” documentary as part of a series of events at the FINS pavilion.
The film dwells on the impact of the fishing industry on the environment, ecosystems and marine animals and describes the opportunities created by sustainable fishing.
At the end of the event, Isabella Cavalletti, the head of the “Seaspiracy” project, answered questions from the participants.
