BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. Following today's meeting, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan invalidated the results from two polling stations in response to a protest from a Lankaran Rural Electoral District No. 78 candidate about the September 1 parliamentary election, the source at the CEC told TurkicWorld
The CEC found vote counting anomalies at polling stations 28 and 32, which could affect election results. Thus, the commission annulled these stations' vote results. The proposal was put to a vote and received approval.
The CEC made it clear that tossing out the results from these two stations doesn’t throw a wrench in the overall results of the electoral district.
To note, the snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.
