BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the restoration work carried out on a number of historical monuments in Gobustan and Shamakhi, TurkicWorld reports.
Leyla Aliyeva visited the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Gobustan, a 15th-century monument that stands out for its uniqueness among the entire Caucasus region. The Diri Baba Mausoleum has been considered a sacred place for the Azerbaijani people for centuries. In 2022, this historical monument was restored by order of President Ilham Aliyev. Research work was carried out in the cemetery and in the caves around the mausoleum, and the necessary infrastructure was created to make it convenient for tourists to visit.
