BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. All conditions will be created in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation for comfortable voting of electors at the extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament, the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov said at today's CEC meeting, TurkicWorld reports.
"We should try to make sure that polling stations in the liberated territories are not too far from each other. A total of 34 polling stations in these territories are fully ready for the election. Besides, as we have already stated, we are also creating temporary polling stations," he added.
On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.
The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
