BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Election stands among crucial factors of democratic society, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev said at a meeting for the chairmen of district election commissions at the Central Election Commission in Baku today, TurkicWorld reports.
According to him, compliance with the law is one of the most important aspects of successful election
"The electoral process is a whole new ball game that's constantly changing and developing. The establishment of democratic election traditions in modern Azerbaijan is enshrined in the Constitution, crafted under the guidance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and ratified in 1995. One of the crucial elements is the proper, crystal clear, and above-board conduct of the electoral process," he explained.
To note, on June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the sixth convocation and the appointment of an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The extraordinary election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
