BlackBerry’s automotive unit provides software technologies used in connected cars and vehicle systems, including solutions designed to support safety, communication and digital services.
The company’s improved outlook reflects stronger expectations for revenue growth from its automotive software operations, which have benefited from long-term partnerships with vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.
BlackBerry has shifted its business focus in recent years away from its former smartphone operations toward enterprise software, cybersecurity and automotive technology.
