BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. Artificial intelligence code review startup CodeRabbit has raised $143 million in its latest funding round, bringing the company’s valuation to $1.5 billion.
The funding round was co-led by Atomico and Smash Capital, with participation from new investors including BMW i Ventures, Datadog and Hirtle Callaghan.
Investors are betting that the rapid adoption of AI-powered coding tools and “vibe coding” will increase demand for software monitoring, security checks and automated code improvements as companies face a growing volume of AI-generated software.
CodeRabbit helps developers improve code quality and efficiency by reviewing changes, explaining their impact and monitoring production code for vulnerabilities and long-term maintenance risks.
The latest investment comes less than a year after the company’s $60 million Series B funding round. Atomico partner Luca Eisenstecken will join CodeRabbit’s board of directors.
“As AI becomes critical infrastructure for the global economy, organisations will increasingly need independent governance layers that can validate software regardless of which model produced it,” Eisenstecken said.
Headquartered in San Francisco, CodeRabbit has recently opened an office in London and plans further expansion in Europe, Japan and other Asian markets.
