BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. On November 15, 2025, during her official visit to Poland, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, gave a comprehensive interview to Radio Wnet. During the interview, she spoke about the Foundation’s key areas of activity, the international promotion of Turkic cultural heritage, and the development of humanitarian cooperation with Poland, TurkicWorld reported.
Mrs. Raimkulova recalled that the Foundation was established in 2012 at the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan, with the support of the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye. She emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy and noted that the Foundation attaches particular significance to researching and preserving the heritage of Turkic communities living in Poland, Lithuania and Romania. As part of her visit, the head of the organization also traveled to Bialystok, where she held productive meetings.
She highlighted the importance of the agreement reached with the University of Warsaw on the establishment of the Center for Turkic Cultural Heritage — a major step in strengthening academic and cultural cooperation.
Mrs. Raimkulova expressed her gratitude to the embassies of the Turkic states in Poland, especially the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for their continued support. She also noted the contribution of European Turkologists and prominent scholars to the development of global science.
It was also emphasized that in 2025 the Foundation successfully implemented 65 projects encompassing cultural, educational and research initiatives. These included restoration and museification efforts, projects aimed at safeguarding tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as digitalization initiatives focused on the cultural heritage of the Turkic World.
In conclusion, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova thanked the Radio Wnet team for the opportunity to present the Foundation’s activities to the wider European public, and underscored the Foundation’s commitment to further strengthening unity and cultural solidarity within the Turkic World.
