KHANKENDI, Azerbaijan, April 14. A delegation from the Republic of Türkiye, including representatives from the city of Kayseri, mayors, university rectors, leaders of political party branches, and members of the Turkish Parliament elected from Kayseri, is currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, TurkicWorld reports.
As part of their visit, the delegation toured the city of Khankendi, Karabakh University, and the Khojaly district.
Upon arrival in Khankendi, the guests were welcomed by representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan located in the city.
From Victory Square, delegation members observed the ongoing reconstruction works in Khankendi and later held a meeting with students and faculty at Karabakh University.
The delegation also visited the Khojaly district to view the progress of construction and restoration activities underway in the region.
A sister city agreement has been signed between Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, and Kayseri, one of Türkiye’s oldest cities.
