BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The opening ceremony of the House-Museum of Alykul Osmonov was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan after the successful completion of its restoration and museumification, TurkicWorld reports.
The project was implemented by the Turkic Culture and Heritage in cooperation with the Bishkek City Hall.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, Mayor of Bishkek Mr. Aybek Dzhunushaliev, First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Chyngyz Esengul uulu and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Aybek Moldogaziev.
The project was implemented as part of the implementation of the Declaration of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held on November 3, 2023 in Astana. This is the first project of its kind carried out by the Foundation, which underlines its importance for cultural exchange and preservation of the heritage of the Turkic peoples.
Within the framework of the project, the Foundation also published a collection of poems by Alykul Osmonov "From time to time" in Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani languages translated by writer Adil Jamil. This publication was the first in the series of books "Pearls of Turkic Literature", launched by the Foundation.
Thanks to the restoration and modern equipment of the House-Museum, connoisseurs of the creativity of the outstanding Kyrgyz poet Alykul Osmonov will have access to a place that has preserved the atmosphere and flavor of the era in which the great poet lived.
The new museum space will become an important cultural center contributing to the development and popularization of Alykul Osmonov's creativity both in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
