BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné has been nominated for the post of European Commissioner for the Internal Market, TurkicWorld reports.
Meanwhile, his candidacy for the post, which was held by Thierry Breton, was nominated by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Séjourné earlier served as chairman of the liberal faction in the previous convocation of the European Parliament.
To note, Thierry Breton recently announced on his page on the social network X that he will not be part of the new European Commission (EC).
The reason for this decision is his conflict with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
