BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. The opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games is being held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva are attending the ceremony.
The event brings together representatives from different countries to showcase traditional culture, sports and heritage of nomadic peoples.
The participation of the Azerbaijani leadership highlights the importance attached to cultural and humanitarian cooperation among Turkic and regional states.
The World Nomad Games are considered one of the major international platforms promoting traditional sports, customs and cultural heritage.
