BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev concluded his state visit to Uzbekistan on August 24.
An official farewell ceremony was held at Bukhara International Airport at the conclusion of the visit.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were seen off at the airport by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and First Lady Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva.
The farewell marked the conclusion of the Azerbaijani president’s state visit to Uzbekistan.
The visit took place against the backdrop of steadily strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and growing cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and other areas.
High-level contacts between Baku and Tashkent have become an important element in the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The state visit provided another opportunity for the leaders to strengthen bilateral ties and advance cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
