BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The creation of the Zangezur Corridor was an initiative of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President stated that connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, which is an inseparable part of the country, has been a long-standing aspiration.
“As you know, the creation of the Zangezur Corridor was our initiative. Connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, which is an integral part of our country, has been our long-standing desire,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
The head of state added that Azerbaijan had been moving confidently and skillfully towards achieving this goal.
“We were moving towards this goal with confidence and great skill, and we have already come very close to it,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
