BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, TurkicWorld reports.

It gives me great pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your country’s national holiday – Independence Day.
I would particularly like to note that under your wise leadership, Azerbaijan is successfully carrying out important transformations and large-scale reforms across all spheres, while the welfare and living standards of the people continue to improve and extensive construction and development projects are being implemented throughout the regions.
Recently, at your initiative, the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum was organized at the highest level in the beautiful and unique city of Baku. This stands as another vivid example of Azerbaijan’s steadily growing authority and position on the international stage.
Of course, we are highly satisfied with the rapid development of cooperation between our two countries in political, trade-economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other priority areas, as well as with the elevation of our strategic partnership and alliance to an entirely new level in recent years thanks to our joint and determined efforts.
I am confident that the full implementation of the important agreements reached during our regular and productive meetings and dialogue will further strengthen our multifaceted ties.
