The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the first “Central Asia – European Union” summit, Turkicworld reports citing Uza.
At Samarkand International Airport, the high-level guest was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and other officials.
It is worth noting that the summit agenda includes discussions on the prospects for developing multifaceted relations and practical cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the European Union.
It is essential to emphasize the high level of effectiveness in implementing the agreements reached between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic at the highest level. Notably, trade volume has increased by 70 percent since the beginning of the year. Industrial cooperation is progressing successfully across various sectors of the economy, supported in part by the Joint Investment Fund.
Particular attention continues to be given to the implementation of major regional projects in energy and transport infrastructure, including the construction of the “China – Kyrgyzstan– Uzbekistan” railway.
