Humanitarian aid from Turkmenistan arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2024. /Kabar/. Humanitarian aid from Turkmenistan in the form of 2,000 tons of liquefied gas (57 tank cars) arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Monday the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

The aid was provided by the Turkmen side in connection with the accident at the Bishkek thermal power plant.

The cargo was received by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, State Enterprise "Kyrgyztransneftegaz", State Enterprise "NK Kyrgyz Temir Zholu".

The ceremony was also attended by Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Nury Goliev.

The aid is rendered on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and following negotiations between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
