Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2023. / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On State Symbols of the Kyrgyz Republic,” which was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 20, 2023.
The law was adopted in order to improve one of the main state symbols of the Kyrgyz Republic - the flag of the country.
The adopted Law changed the shape of the sun’s rays on the flag of the Kyrgyz Republic from wavy to straight.
The adopted Law also stipulates that all types of official documents with the image of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic are valid until the expiration of their validity period, and vehicle license plates and vehicle registration certificates with the image of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic are valid until the relevant authority makes a decision to replace them.
