Bishkek, Nov. 15, 2023. / Kabar/. The events dedicated to the Day of the Manas Epic will be held this year in Kyrgyzstan from November 20 to December 4, Director of the Kyrgyz State Theater “Manas” Aziz Biimyrza uulu told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.

He noted that the festive events are held jointly with the National Academy of Sciences, the Muras Foundation for the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the People of Kyrgyzstan under the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

Thus, from November 20, universities around the country will host lectures on the epic, and in schools, artists from the Manas Theater will conduct intellectual quizzes on Manas studies.

On November 21, an international competition will be held in Kara-Kul, in which 30 young storytellers from all over the republic, as well as from Uzbekistan, Turkey and Kazakhstan will take part.

On December 1, a seminar “The Manas Epic and Philosophy” will be held at Manas University. The event will examine the philosophical aspects of the epic, historians present their scientific research, and also discuss hypotheses and scientific facts regarding the events in the epic.

On December 3, more than 100 young storytellers will perform at the Manas Theater. They will recite excerpts from the epic for about 12 hours - from 9:00 to 21:00. Senior Manas narrators will be invited as guests of honor.

Interesting facts about the epic on December 4 will be told by 30 young narrators from all over the country. They will conduct educational lessons in state and municipal departments in Bishkek.

On the same day in the evening, the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdylas Maldybaev will host aitysh.
