Doctors from Saudi Arabia plan to perform free heart surgeries for Kyrgyzstanis

Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2023. / Kabar/. Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic Ibrahim bin al-Radi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare, issues of construction of first aid stations in the regions, exchange of experience and advanced training between specialists.

The ambassador said that the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Rescue intends to hold a campaign in Kyrgyzstan to conduct free heart surgeries from November 10 to 17 this year. It is expected that a team of 30 specialists will arrive in Kyrgyzstan to carry out this campaign and perform free heart surgeries on about 100 needy patients from low-income families. It was noted that they will bring stents and necessary medical equipment worth more than 500 thousand US dollars free of charge.

Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev expressed gratitude to the ambassador for the support provided to the healthcare system and noted that the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic will provide all necessary assistance to the arriving group of doctors in carrying out this action.
